The Product

A historic French soft, white-mold cow's milk cheese from Normandy, famous for its heart shape, a tradition said to have started during the Hundred Years' War as a romantic gift from local women to English soldiers, offering a delicate, creamy, slightly tangy, and mushroomy flavor similar to Camembert, and is France's oldest cheese.

Origin & Terroir

From the Pays de Bray in Normandy, one of France's oldest cheese-making regions. The heart shape is said to date back to the Hundred Years' War when local women made them for English soldiers.

How to Enjoy

Serve at room temperature when the interior becomes creamy and flowing. Pairs beautifully with Normandy cider, Champagne, or a light red wine. Spread on crusty bread with a drizzle of honey.
