MAISON LOSTE CHEESES FRENCH CHEESES
RACLETTE

The Product

Natural raclette cheese designed for melting. Creamy, mild, and slightly nutty, this is the cheese for the famous Swiss-French raclette dish.

Origin & Terroir

While raclette originated in Switzerland, French Savoie produces excellent versions. Made from cow's milk in alpine regions where the melting tradition is beloved.

How to Enjoy

Melt and scrape over boiled potatoes, serve with cornichons, pickled onions, and charcuterie. Also excellent in sandwiches or as fondue alternative. Pairs with Savoie white wines (Apremont, Jacquère) or light reds.

Did You Know?

The name comes from "racler" (to scrape) - the cheese is heated and scraped onto plates. Traditional raclette involves a half-wheel heated by fire. Modern raclette grills make it accessible at home. A complete raclette meal is a convivial winter tradition.
