How to Enjoy
Slice thick to appreciate the mushroom pieces. Pairs beautifully with aged cheeses, walnuts, and crusty bread. Excellent with Bordeaux, Cahors, or Madiran wines. The earthy ceps add umami depth.
Did You Know?
Ceps (porcini) are never cultivated - only wild-foraged, making them precious. They have incredible umami and earthy flavor that complements pork perfectly. The square "pavé" shape is traditional for certain French sausages.
