MAISON LOSTE SPANISH SPECIALTY COOKED CHARCUTERIE
SOUBRESSADE PIQUANTE

The Product

Saint-Félicien is a rich, creamy French soft cheese from the Rhône-Alpes region, known for its buttery, nutty flavor and almost runny texture when ripe, traditionally sold in small ceramic pots and often compared to its cousin, Saint-Marcellin, but creamier and milder, made from cow's milk and cream.

Origin & Terroir

From the Balearic Islands, particularly Mallorca, where Catalan settlers brought sausage-making traditions centuries ago. The spreadable texture and spicy heat are characteristic.

How to Enjoy

Spread on toast and broil until bubbly, or use as a cooking ingredient to add heat and flavor. Pairs with Mallorcan wines, cold beer, or sangria.

Did You Know?

Sobrassada's spreadable texture comes from using higher fat content than typical sausages. The vibrant red color is entirely from paprika. In Mallorca, it's considered essential to local cuisine.
