The Product
Soft, washed-rind cheese from the Savoie Alps, essential for tartiflette. Creamy, mild, and slightly nutty with a distinctive orange rind.
Origin & Terroir
Made in the Savoie and Haute-Savoie mountains from milk of Abondance, Tarine, or Montbéliarde cows. "Fruitier" indicates cooperative production, ensuring traditional methods and supporting small farms.
How to Enjoy
Essential for tartiflette (Savoyard potato-cheese bake). Also excellent melted in raclette or simply on bread. Pair with Savoie white wines (Apremont, Roussette) or light reds. Let it warm to room temperature for best flavor.
Did You Know?
The name comes from "reblocher" - to milk again. Farmers would milk cows incompletely during tax inspection, then "re-milk" to make this cheese! The AOP requires it be made with raw milk from a single milking. Each wheel is identified with a green casein label.
