BLOC DE FOIE GRAS DE CANARD
The Product
Duck foie gras "bloc" - a preparation where liver pieces are combined into smooth, creamy texture. More accessible than foie gras entier while maintaining luxury.
Origin & Terroir
Produced in Southwest France's traditional foie gras regions. The "bloc" format allows use of quality liver pieces, making this exceptional delicacy slightly more affordable.
How to Enjoy
Serve chilled, spread on toast or brioche. Pairs with sweet wines like Sauternes or Monbazillac, or try with vintage Port. Traditional accompaniments include fig jam or onion confit. Perfect for elegant entertaining.
Did You Know?
Bloc de foie gras must contain minimum 98% foie gras by law. It's smoother than pâté but not as prestigious as foie gras entier. The texture should be creamy and melt on the tongue. Still considered a luxury item in France.
